Congrats to Alan Bell, Alex Lu, Aaron Back, Rocky Tufty, Eric Zechenelly, Briley Beaton, Reggie Coulter, Ian Banks-Clark, and Branden Helms (also to the coaches: Head coach Kevin Landon and assistants Floyd Halvorsen, Kristin Doud, Brian Ford, Chris Gaydos, Faustin Riley, Matt Burg, Patti Withers, and Dan Neeway) for their accomplishment in bringing the team title back home to Sunset.

Important Changes that will take effect for the 2011-2012 school year.
In an effort to save money, application packets will NOT be sent home with each student for school year 2011-2012. And, you won't need to wait until school starts to complete a new application for 2011-2012 school year.
Congratulations go the following math students who were invited to the Oregon Invitational Math Tournament held last Saturday at OSU. This is essentialy the state championships for mathematics.
Rahul Dalal and Yushi Wang were in the top ten Calculus students and received Honorable Mention.
Jordan Hurwitz was in the top ten Pre-Calculus students and received Honorable Mention.
Michelle Tai was a member of the 2nd Place Team in the Team Awards Competition in Calculus.
The Beaverton School District did an outstanding job at ISEF - The International Science and Engineering Fair that occurred in LA last week. It was an incredible showing for a single school district. Team Oregon won a total of 18 special awards and 11 category awards. Please see the Beaverton awards listed below.

Keely Vedanayagam is the Winner of this District's Congressional High School Art Contest. Her work will hang for one year in the National Congressional Office Complex at the Capitol Bldg. in D.C.!

The Excellence in Education Award was created by the Booster Club to honor the contributions made by Sunset's many fine staff members and to publicly express the value the Sunset community places on education as a profession. The award includes a cash prize that can be used for professional development purposes.
