Sunset science teacher, Brian Kienlen, has received the 2009 Northwest Sectional Coach of the Year award from the National Federation of State High School Associations for boy's golf. The Northwest section includes Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. Brian is now a candidate for National Coach of the Year recognition. Congrats!
The season of forecasting for classes for the 2010-2011 school year begins February 17 and continues through March 3, 2010. All students and their families need to review the Program Planning Guide and work with their advisor and guidance counselor to select classes for next year. The Program Planning Guide and the Forecasting Forms are ready for you!

The Beaverton School District is seeking eight parents and two additional community members to serve on the K-12 Grading and Reporting Project Team. The Project Team will be composed of teachers, parents, administrators, students and community members. The committee will meet at least once per month beginning in February 2010 and will conclude in December 2010
