Yahoo -- This is a good tool for the beginning net searcher. It is structured somewhat like a library shelf and has a familiar organizational feel. It indexes a large number of sites, and it is updated often by a team of indexers who try to edit out links that are no longer in use. Yahoo! does have a web search option.

Excite -- This is a search engine which you should use when you are not sure of the exact term you need. Concept searches find a page related to the work even if that work is not on the Web page. Use as many terms as you can.

Web Crawler -- This is a simple searcher that provides simple search results. This search engine is best when doing broad searches and not as good for doing very specific and detailed searches.

Meta Crawler -- This is a meta searcher which sends out your word to nine different search engines and indexes and then displays the result. Meta searchers like Meta Crawler can cut your search time but providing you with a lot of results. However, it might not be as quick as some of the other search engines.
