Grad Party 2010 - June 10, 2010

Planning for the 2010 Grad Party is underway, this is a huge event and all parent hands are needed to make this a success.  The celebration begins at about 10:30 p.m. the night of graduation and ends at 4:00 a.m. the next morning. Sunset’s tradition is to have the celebration party at Sunset High School, it gives all the seniors a last evening at their school with their friends before they move on  to the next stage of their lives.

The following are the meeting dates for the rest of the academic year. All meetings are at 7:00 p.m. in the Media Center.

FUNDRAISING:

This event costs approximately $38,000 to put on, which only about comes from ticket sales so there will be many fundraisers put on throughout the year. We will need parents and seniors help in putting these on, please watch for updated information on this site for opportunities to participate.

  1. The following are current fundraising events: (Always looking for ideas)
  2. Cinch bags: We are selling cinch bags for $15 that say Sunset Apollos on them. We pre-ordered 50 of them to sell so please spread the word.
  3. Donation letters:  These will be going out to parents and businesses the week of Nov. 16, 2009.
  4. 50/50: Will be available during varsity boys home basketball games.
  5. Race volunteers: Karen Huschka is working on getting us signed up to help with some up coming races. Stayed tuned for more information on this.
  6. Car Wash: Car wash this spring. Will need both parents and seniors to participate.
  7. Coffee sales: Looking into this for Christmas gifts.
  8. Christmas tree recycling: In discussion.
