Sunset Boosters is now officially Sunset High School Parent Teacher Organization.(PTO)

The Board also spent many hours reviewing and revising our current Bylaws. The changes made now reflect how SHS Parent Teacher Organization actually runs.

These changes were made by the Officers of the Organization and with Legal counsel by  Herbert G. Grey, Attorney at Law.

Revised Bylaws will be posted for 30 days and then we  will  approve the amended Bylaws at our June 10th, 2013 Board Meeting.

Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Who are the SHS Boosters?

SHS Boosters is the high school version of PTC/PTO.  We are a volunteer group made up of parents, educators, and community volunteers who support Sunset in many ways including planning and producing fundraising activities and family participation events for the benefit of all SHS students in their academics, arts, athletics, and activities.

All Are Welcome!

Participation in Boosters is open to all adults residing in the state of Oregon who are interested in supporting the students and activities of Sunset High School.  Come to our monthly meetings and offer input on any topic and/or become involved in any of the many committees of Boosters.  Getting involved with Boosters is a great way to keep up on the happenings at SHS while also making a valuable contribution to the school.

 Fundraising

Retailer Incentive Program

Sunset High School participates in the incentive programs of several local retailers to help raise money for our school. By participating, we can help our children with very little additional effort and no extra spending. Your family can help to support programs that would otherwise be unable to offer. All you need to do is link an account number to your grocery card, clip labels, or collect items you would normally throw away. Here are the details:

Safeway

Link your Safeway Club Card at www.escrip.com to the SUNSET HIGH SCHOOL BOOSTERS account (Group ID # 8567200, or Group name ‘Sunset High School Boosters’) and our school makes a percentage back on all purchases. No or little computer access?   Don’t forget you can also use your eScrip account to get cash for BSE when you make purchases at Zupan’s, Whole Foods, Macy’s, Amazon.com, American Airlines, Eddie Bauer, Barnes & Noble and more. Check out www.eScrip.com for more details.

Continuing eScrip users must RENEW your Safeway card in order to keep your eScrip Safeway contributions coming. It's easy to do! Simply visit www.escrip.com and click on "Yes! Renew." That's it! You're all set for another year of eScrip rebates from Safeway.

Fred Meyer

Fred Meyer will give 5% of all purchases to SHS. You can link your Fred Meyer card to the SHS account by calling 1-866-518-2686. and giving them the SHS account number, #(coming soon!)  . Or if you don’t have a Fred Meyer card, you can enter the school phone number (503-259-5050) on the pin pad at checkout.

Office Depot

Participate in this program and SHS will receive a merchandise card each quarter in the amount of 5% of your purchases (for qualifying purchases only), up to $50 per quarter, per person. At the checkout, simply tell them you want to participate in the ‘5% Back to Schools Program’ and donate Sunset High School, or give them our school ID #  . Anyone can do this program—no special sign-ups are necessary!

Target

Link your Target Charge Card to SHS ID # 87609  for a donation of up to 1% of all of your Target purchases, and ½% of your non-Target purchases.

Wamoola

If you bank at Washington Mutual, don’t forget to sign up for the Wamoola for Schools program and purchases using your Washington Mutual Debit Master Card will benefit our school. For more information visit your bank or http://www.wamoolaforschools.com
